The international cooperation

The international cooperation of the Academy is carried out with near and far abroad countries according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, signed contracts, agreements and protocols of the Russian Federation, main provisions of the State Protocol Support of the Russian Federation; instruments of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and the Federal Penal Service; Plan of the main international events of the Federal Penal Service of Russia; Plan of the International cooperation of the Academy of the Federal Penal Service of Russia; orders and regulations of the Chief of the Academy.  

The main aims of this activity are maintenance and development of international contacts with penal systems of foreign States; international NGOs; research, educational and scientific centers of UN, UC, EU, CIS countries and far abroad countries

The international cooperation of the Academy is provided by the organizational and scientific department of the scientific center of the Academy.

The head of the department is a lieutenant colonel, PhD in Law, Associate Professor Alexander Parshkov.

MAIN TASKS OF THE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

·       establishment and development of partnership with foreign penal systems and educational institutions in order to exchange the experience in different spheres of execution of punishment;

·       implementation the European standards into the Russian Penal System;

·       studying and development of alternative measures to deprivation of liberty;

·       participation in international scientific conferences and other events;

·       promotion of positive image of Russian Penal System in the world.

The most important task of the international cooperation of the academy are the expansion of contacts with the penitentiary systems of foreign states.
